Jamie Pattee is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Therapy with Heart. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for individuals, couples, and families to build strong and healthy relationships. Jamie believes in guiding individuals through life’s obstacles with healthy communication, empathy, and openness, all to ensure change and personal growth with every client.
Jamie has over ten years of experience working with children and families. She began her career as a teacher in the Paradise Valley Unified School District where she taught for eight years and obtained a Master’s of Education in Counseling and Human Relations from Northern Arizona University. While Jamie loved working with children in the classroom, she always knew that working with families in a therapy setting was her passion. Jamies earned a Master’s of Advanced Studies in Marriage and Family Therapy from Arizona State University and worked in community behavioral health for two years. Jamie also served on the Arizona Marriage and Family Therapy conference committee.
Jamie has completed Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) training and uses this approach with her clients. In her work with couples, she rebuilds the emotional connection and creates a space to have open and honest communications with your partner. She is also Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (ACRA) certified and focuses on assisting adolescents with substance abuse. Jamie works with individuals, families, and couples on a variety of issues: substance abuse, family communication, family conflict, anger, anxiety, parenting skills, and self-esteem. Jamie has experience in working with LGNTQ individuals and couples.
